WTO Contract on Fisheries Subsidies enters into force

At a special General Council meeting on 15 September, WTO members commemorated the access into force of the WTO Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies, which dedicates participants to curbing billions of dollars in annual investing on one of the most hazardous aids that contribute to the deficiency of marine fish supplies. Hailing the Arrangement as a “landmark for worldwide profession governance”, Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala gave thanks to WTO participants for their commitment to protecting the incomes of fishing neighborhoods worldwide. “This Arrangement demonstrates just how you can put sell the service of both individuals and earth,” she stated.
